Gordon’s professional journey began when he joined the Navy during his senior year of high school, serving four years in Vietnam as a sonar technician and ship’s diver. After his military service, he pursued a career in telecommunications, inspired by family members at Michigan Bell Telephone (MBT).
He built a successful engineering career with over 17 years at MBT before founding Telecommunications Engineers, Inc. (TCE, Inc.) following multiple workforce reductions. As a telecom consultant and strategist, he specialized in fiber and copper infrastructure, planning technologies, and enterprise systems, serving Tier 2 and Tier 3 providers as well as major organizations like AT&T and Verizon.
